Milan Design Week wrapped up a couple of weeks ago, but the design world is still humming and buzzing with excitement over the brand new lighting design concepts that were unveiled. Famed lighting designers from all over the world were present with their designs; think modern lines, quirky shapes and block colours. Luxury Lighting is what can separate an average home from the amazing home; it becomes the feature piece, the talking point, the piece with a story behind it. Metallic’s are the ultimate in luxurious lighting. Whether it’s polished chrome, gold or copper, metallics’ make a design statement like no other. Octagonal pendants are never go out of style; adding a touch of metallic gives your light that extra edge. The White Knight

Funnelling its way onto our Luxury lighting trends list is the funnel pendant. Once just the domain of industrial factories, the funnel pendant has come a long way to now be considered a luxury light. Although the funnel pendant has it’s roots in industrialism, it was seen everywhere at Milan Design Week.
