Frameless Glass Shower Screens

Frameless Glass Shower Screens

Frameless shower screens look simple and stylish, so it’s easy to think that there’s not a lot to them.

But as we quickly learnt when planning our renovation, a 1.8m wide opening, a hydronic towel rail, and the layout of our proposed ensuite meant that we needed a custom designed solution.

When we called Clearly Frameless, they came out promptly, measured up our space and presented a design that worked best for the space. I was initially surprised at the cost (I’m a very optimistic renovator when it comes to budget estimates), but the great thing about the guys from Clearly Frameless was that they explained why they had chosen the components and design, and I understood that we would end up with a much better result.

The end result being we have a 12mm thick glass shower screen - essential because of the wide opening and the height.
The thicker glass makes the shower screen strong and stable but, keep in mind with that comes substantial weight. To adequately support the door and panels, the Clearly Frameless team recommended specific chrome hinges and mounting brackets to accommodate this.

When it came time to fit the screen, the install team arrived on time, and professionally installed the screen, and cleaned up after the installation. It really was that smooth and fuss free.

The shower screen has been installed for a while now and I'm happy to say the door is still hanging, perfectly level and square, and the polished chrome hardware looks great.
