For the past 15 years global experts Pantone Color Institute®, in the United States, have been forecasting the colours of the year. Lets raise a toast, quite fitting given the announcement, as the 2015 Pantone Colour of the Year is none other than Marsala, Pantone 18-1438.
"This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors", says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute®.
The 2014 Pantone colour of the year was Radiant Orchid so this sees the colour moving from tones of violet and lavender into more of a robust, warm hue.
So, when it comes to your renovation, where would the colour marsala work best? "Nurturing and fulfilling, Marsala is a natural fit for the kitchen and dining room – making it ideal for tabletop, small appliances and linens throughout the home." commented Eisman.
