There were five key points that we kept in mind when transforming our sitting room into a welcoming guest bedroom. If you keep these at hand when planning for when your guests will be staying, you'll be well on your way to creating a cosy and welcoming space for them.
Fresh, clean linen is essential. Nothing is more welcoming than beautifully laundered linen and a freshly made bed.
Be sure to provide somewhere/something for your guests to leave their luggage on and hang their belongings. It not only helps to keep the space clutter-free but, it makes it easy for your guests to move around the room if space is a consideration. Things like an ottoman for
Providing a table lamp close to the bed and in easy reach for your guest, will make it effortless for them to navigate around the room at night
If space allows it, always try to include somewhere your guests can sit other than on the bed. 5) Welcome Gift
It doesn't have to be anything huge but a little welcome gift is a lovely finishing touch for your guest room. Items such as soap, fresh flowers, a magazine or even a local town guide go a long way in making your guest feel right at home.
