Ah cocktails... let's be honest, nothing beats a refreshing, cool cocktail on a warm sunny day.
A cocktail really is the only type of beverage worthy of celebrating the change of seasons with. Not only are cocktails super yummy, they provide an opportunity to get really creative and impress guests by showcasing one's newly developed bartender skills.
The team at House of Home secretly love a good cocktail and we have found the perfect recipe for transitioning from Winter to Spring with. It's fruity and fizzy and fun! It's called the 'Bloody Floradora' and it's delicious!
The Bloody Floradora is a classic gin drink that teams Four Pillars Shiraz Gin (yes you heard correctly - Shiraz Gin) with the super charged berrylicious flavour of raspberries, then complimented by the zest of lime and the spice of ginger beer. Plus, it's deep, rich red colour is absolutely divine!
“A ridiculously tasty combo of our Bloody Shiraz Gin's earthy fruit characters with the freshness and zing of lime and ginger beer.” |Sam Ng, 'Bartender at Large', Four Pillars Gin
- 50mL Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin
- 25ml Lime Juice
- 15 - 20ml Rasberry Puree
- Ginger beer
- Half a lime for garnish
Shake the ingredients over ice, then strain into a vintage glass or a Collins glass. Top with a dash of ginger beer and garnish with a few edible flowers for spring time or a lime wheel and a raspberry.
Remember, sip don't scull and enjoy with friends. Cheers!
