Whilst we love pouring over pinterest bathroom pics and drooling over crazy bathroom colour schemes, sometimes it can be hard to find inspiration for something more achievable. So we reached out to our bathroom retailers for some real-life examples of incredible, and attainable, bathroom designs – and they didn’t disapoint. Scroll down for tips on designing a modern and practical bath space, their favourite products, and how to get the look!
A Meditative Bath Space

Design and Construction: Total Bathrooms | Bathroom Location: Gordon, NSW
”What we love about this space is the simple clean lines. Less is more. Our client wanted something simple but timeless. She didn’t want finicky little tiles with lots of grout to clean. The large format concrete look won her over immediately. The timber top on her Timberline Ashton vanity adds a hint of warmth to the room as well as her own little added accents. The white polyurethane finish is complimented by the beautiful Halifax mirror from Timberline. The Inspire Alzano back to wall bath was chosen for its clean lines, comfort and cleaning made simple. Just like the R.A.K Resort Rimless toilet. Everyone lives a busy life-style, and so who has time to spend hours cleaning all the nooks and crannies in a bathroom. That is why the popular choice these days, is a functional yet stylish bathroom, and most importantly less time spent cleaning”
The takeaway: Utilise minimalist baths, toilets and vanities, and large-format concrete for a stress free and easy to clean modern look.
Stone, Wood and Sophistication

Designer: Bentons Finer Bathrooms | Construction: Carland Construction and CC Plumbing | Location: Footscray, VIC
”We love the edgy tapware paired with the softening curves of RF bathroom and kitchen products’ Essence basin. The chosen tapware is from Streamline’s Axus range, it’s stylish and always on trend, you can find it on House of Home.”
The takeaway: Soften edgy bathroom details with curves and natural tones
A Polished Hamptons Look

Designer: The Blue Space | Bathroom Location: Leichardt, NSW
“This bathroom proves you don’t need a large space to make big impact. Our client in Leichardt achieved a classic Hampton inspired design with a beautiful white palette and perfectly curated tapware selection. The Phoenix Nostalgia collection was the perfect choice for this heritage home. And you can’t go past that window! Our client wanted this to be a feature in the space, and that is exactly what she has managed to do”
The takeaway: Size DOESN’T matter – utilise small spaces to their full potential by choosing a feature piece
An Edgy & Modern Bathroom

Designer: Bathware Direct | Location: Mt Waverley, VIC
“I really like the simple, contemporary design of these bathrooms. In the main bathroom with the freestanding bath they have included different wall tiles so that the wall with the bath is a ‘feature wall’ of sorts without being overwhelming.”
The takeaway: Make the bath a focal point by playing with the tiling around it
