There is an interesting fact behind Rose Gum also known as Red Grandis.. It is native to Australia, yet is now commonly found in plantation forests around the word including South America where this timber was sourced. It is a hardwood and shares similar variations to Blackwood with beautiful streaks through the grain. The finish is smooth and is sealed with a clear satin varnish. The bed is sturdy has decent quality thick slats with a centre support rail so it doesn’t sag in the middle. The drawers have dovetail joins and full extension metal runners so the drawers glide smoothly and fully extend when opening.
